Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 7, 2026

Stackd helps you find items worth reselling. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and who we share it with. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use advertising or analytics trackers.

1. Who we are

Stackd ("Stackd", "we", "us") operates the Stackd mobile app and the websites at stackxd.com and app.stackxd.com. If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at privacy@stackxd.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what the product needs to work. Specifically:

DataWhy we collect it
Email addressTo create and sign you into your account. Handled by our authentication provider; your password is stored only as a salted hash and is never visible to us.
Subscription statusYour plan, its status, and a payment-processor customer ID, so we know whether your account has Pro access.
Search inputsThe categories, budget, platforms, and sizes you choose when you run a scan, so we can find matching listings and price them.
Saved flips & scan countStored locally on your own device, not on our servers.
Push tokenOnly if you enable notifications, so we can send alerts to your device. You can turn this off in your device settings at any time.
Basic server logsStandard request logs (such as IP address and timestamp) generated by our hosting provider, used for security and debugging.

What we do not collect

3. How we use your information

We do not use your data for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

4. Service providers we share data with

We share the minimum necessary data with the following providers, each acting on our behalf:

ProviderPurpose & what it receives
SupabaseAccount authentication and database. Receives your email and subscription status.
StripePayment processing. Receives your payment details directly from you and returns only a customer reference to us.
AnthropicAI analysis of listings. Receives your search inputs and public listing data — not your email or payment information.
eBay & SerpAPIRetrieving public listings and completed-sale prices. Receive search terms only.
RenderApplication hosting. Processes traffic and server logs.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Stackd and its users. If Stackd is ever involved in a merger or acquisition, we will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Data stored on your device

Your saved flips, credit balance, and free-scan count are stored in your device's local storage. They stay on your device, are not transmitted to us, and are erased if you clear the app's data or uninstall the app.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your account record and associated profile data within 30 days, except where we must retain certain records (such as payment and tax records) to meet legal obligations. Server logs are retained on a short rolling window by our hosting provider.

7. Your rights and choices

To delete your account and data, email privacy@stackxd.com from the address on your account. We will confirm and complete deletion within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the GDPR (EEA/UK) or the CCPA/CPRA (California), including the right to object to processing and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. Stackd does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise any right, contact us at the address above.

8. Children's privacy

Stackd is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@stackxd.com and we will delete it promptly. Users under the age of majority in their jurisdiction should review this policy with a parent or guardian, and should have permission before making any purchase.

9. Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit using TLS. Passwords are salted and hashed by our authentication provider and are never stored in plain text. Payment credentials are handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processor. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.

10. International transfers

Stackd is operated from the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. If you access Stackd from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, our providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses for such transfers.

11. Not financial advice

Stackd surfaces publicly available listings and historical sale prices to estimate resale potential. These are estimates, not guarantees. Stackd does not provide investment or financial advice, and you are solely responsible for any buying or selling decisions you make.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will provide a more prominent notice in the app. Continuing to use Stackd after an update means you accept the revised policy.
